MIRAZUR REOPENS ITS DOORS, AND IT’S EVEN CLOSER TO NATURE

14 April 2022

Since 2019, Mirazur has continued to evolve its spaces offering an experience that lives up to its ambition: reconnect humans to the cycles of nature. The reopening of the Mirazur aims at offering a new positive impetus and putting nature at the center of its concerns.

Designed as a Mediterranean microcosm, Mirazur is much more than a restaurant. From the gardens, which evolve to the rhythm of nature, to the kitchen, which is revealed to guests as soon as they arrive, to the refined restaurant room, which is totally oriented towards the Mediterranean, as well as the two confidential spaces, which immerse you into the creative process, Mirazur is lively place, a way of thinking and living. These different spaces make up a sensory journey to relearn together how to listen to nature and live it fully.

The central kitchen - the latest change - without walls and without limits is revealed to customers and immerses guests in the Mirazur experience as soon as they arrive. Completely redesigned by Mauro and Julia Colagreco and then designed by the architect Marcelo Joulia, it gives way to a ballet composed of the movements of a meticulous brigade and the movements of nature, on which the large windows offer a breathtaking view. This new kitchen combines state-of-the-art equipment with the beauty of design details of unsuspected finesse, which touches the essence of the act of cooking: the desire to welcome, share and please others with unlimited generosity.

Discreetly located at the back of the kitchen, La Mesa, an immersive table at the heart of the new Mirazur kitchen, offers a 180° view of the kitchen and the Mediterranean and completes the show like a theater piece.

Through this renovation, Chef Mauro Colagreco, who is always on the move, responds to his desire to share the entire creative process with his guests but also to provide a unique working experience for his teams. This new step completes the creation of La Puerta a few months ago.

A true creative workshop, La Puerta is totally focused on inspiration and creation. This intimate place in the heart of Mirazur offers a multi-sensory expression between art - great names have been attached to each detail - the kitchen - with Mirazur’s culinary laboratory open kitchen - and nature, like a suspended moment.

The restaurant room, completely redesigned in 2019, invites guests to continue their immersion in a pure and Mediterranean atmosphere. The organic shapes of its walls offer a natural continuity with the breathtaking view of the Mediterranean and the bay of Menton. A space suspended between the sea, the mountains and the gardens, that brings us closer to the richness of the Côte d’Azur.

Now, the spaces offered to customers are woven together by a red thread to be discovered in different and unique experiences that praise the senses and the connection between man and nature.

Curiosity drives Chef Colagreco to constantly enrich himself and develop his team's knowledge through travel and exchanges between different cultures. The last few months have thus been used to enhance the understanding of nature and its cycles by creating a Mirazur Beyond Borders program. From the research team composed of an ethnobotanist, an agronomist, an anthropologist, gardeners and chefs, to a trip through Mexico to meet ancestral cultures and methods, and an initiatory trip to Argentina for the sommellerie team, Mauro activated an emulsion of inspiration during these three months. Mirazur Beyond Borders aims to show that borders do not exist, to encourage exchange and transmission between different cultures and generations, opening the doors to new horizons. These journeys and encounters increase our knowledge and creativity to enrich our vision of the world and transform our daily lives.

Through their simplicity and the immersion offered to guests in the Mirazur 2022, Julia and Mauro highlight the beauty and complexity of nature.
