HFTP Introduces CYBER HITEC 2020, A Virtual Platform for the World’s Largest Hospitality Technology Event

28 July 2020

AUSTIN, TEXAS, USA (July 27, 2020) — Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP®) has unveiled the details for its virtual CYBER HITEC. The 47-year Hospitality Industry Technology Exposition and Conference (HITEC®) recently pivoted from an in-person to a virtual program, but still retains the full-breadth of features and expertise HITEC is known for. Stepping into the virtual event, a participant will encounter education planned and presented by industry insiders, virtual exhibit booths from top technology solution providers, and a variety of meet-ups and opportunities for one-on-one connections. CYBER HITEC will debut on October 27, providing three days of live programming at the beginning of its run and will remain available for on-demand access through November 25.

“HFTP is known for making history and CYBER HITEC is no exception,” said HFTP CEO Frank Wolfe, CAE, FIH. “This will be the first-ever online event lasting 30 days. Last Friday was our very first day in the marketplace which generated almost $100K in sponsorships. This demand is a testament to the industry’s trust and expectations of our volunteers and their delivery of the world’s best educational products and marketplaces. As a nonprofit, HFTP is so fortunate to have so many dedicated volunteers giving their time and effort on behalf of the industry.”

Registrants will have access to an education program featuring over 25 sessions, offering much-needed discussion on the unique issues the hospitality industry is currently facing. In addition to the presentation, the speakers will be available to participants for Q&A. To provide the best possible options to the industry, the HFTP Annual Convention (which was scheduled as an in-person event for October) will also be held under the CYBER HITEC banner and attendees will have the opportunity to attend education sessions for both events.

In conjunction with the education program, CYBER HITEC will feature virtual exhibit halls and exhibit booths, wherein companies can showcase their products through multi-media tools such as video, photos and more. Company representatives will also be available for one-on-one interaction.

A variety of virtual sponsorships for extended brand visibility are available through the CYBER HITEC event platform. Numerous long-time HITEC exhibitors have already shown their support for this year's virtual event, with Samsung and HospitalityNet securing Platinum sponsorships, the highest sponsor tier.

The in-person event, “Best of HFTP,” which included HITEC San Antonio and the HFTP Annual Convention was scheduled for October 26–29, 2020 in San Antonio, Texas, USA. In response to the continued health safety concerns and travel restrictions related to the current pandemic, the HFTP Global Board of Directors, has determined it is best to switch gears and concentrate efforts on a virtual program

Registration for CYBER HITEC is $99 USD for HFTP members and $149 USD for nonmembers. For information on the education program, exhibit and sponsorship opportunities and more, visit cyberhitec.org.
