Are you following all safety and sanitary guidelines for COVID-19? Let your customers know through Place Checkup

19 May 2020

May 6, 2020 - PlaceCheckup.com was developed by the tech startup Infraspeak to help facility managers let their customers know about the safety and cleaning guidelines in place to mitigate COVID-19. The goal is to increase customers’ awareness and trust in the facilities and establishments they visit.

Reopening premises following the COVID-19 outbreak involves many additional activities - cleaning, air quality, disinfection, and of course, compliance with all safety and health routines. It’s crucial to make sure that this information is communicated to the public in a transparent manner.

For this to happen, facility managers simply add their businesses or establishments to Place Checkup, complete a simple questionnaire about their compliance with safety and health guidelines. They can then download their “COVID-19 Prevention Badge” so they can share it online or have it on display in their premises.

“We have been helping Infraspeak customers implement new hygiene routines since the beginning of the outbreak but with the economy reopening we feel that the priority is now to find a way of helping even more people by not only implementing better routines but also to communicate them to the public”, says Felipe Ávila da Costa, CEO, and co-founder of Infraspeak.

In this first phase, the platform will allow facilities to conduct audits and print certification badges. Soon, anyone will be able to access real-time information on safety and health guidelines, COVID-19 prevention measures, and whether facilities are following recommended protocols.

Until then, customers can report facilities that are not following the guidelines and sign up to be notified once the app goes live through the platforms’ website.

Raising the bar through different types of certification

There are three different categories for Place Checkup certifications: A, B, and C - based on the number of routines or prevention guidelines the facility follows as per the platform’s criteria, available here. Place Checkup includes the official World Health Organization (WHO) recommendations.

The platform, developed by Infraspeak with the support of the tech4COVID19 movement can be used anywhere in the world and in multiple languages. The mobile application will also be available for free for iOS and Android, through the App Store and Play Store.
