Hilton has launched its latest extended-stay brand, LivSmart Studios by Hilton, with the opening of an 89-room hotel in Tullahoma, Tennessee. The new concept targets a segment the company says is “vastly underserved” – guests staying ten nights or longer.
The debut comes as demand grows for longer-term accommodation among relocating families, travelling professionals and workers on extended assignments. A second location in Kokomo, Indiana, is slated to open later this summer, with more than 90 additional hotels in the pipeline and over 225 deals in development.
According to Hilton, the LivSmart Studios model was developed from the ground up based on input from hotel owners and long-stay guests. Suites come equipped with full kitchens – including a two-burner cooktop, full-size refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher and cookware – alongside features such as flexible furniture, spacious bathrooms and increased storage. Common areas include laundry and fitness rooms, retail essentials, and outdoor social space with grills and fire pits.
Chris Silcock, president of Global Brands and Commercial Services at Hilton, said the new brand is part of Hilton’s broader push to expand in the extended-stay space: “LivSmart Studios represents the latest chapter in our growth strategy. The debut of this new brand reinforces our commitment to offering a Hilton experience for every traveller and every stay occasion.”
Tullahoma, located in Middle Tennessee and known for its aviation and engineering industries, was chosen for its demand among professionals needing temporary housing. The property was developed with partners 3H Group and Aztec Group.
The Kokomo property – opening soon – is a 137-room hotel backed by Sun Management & Development Corporation and will serve workforce travellers in the manufacturing and energy sectors.
With its Hilton Honors loyalty integration, LivSmart Studios offers members perks including 3,000 bonus points for every ten consecutive nights and flexible booking options combining points and cash.
