Hilton has launched a new instalment of its global ‘It Matters Where You Stay’ campaign in India, featuring actor Deepika Padukone. Filmed in Bengaluru, the campaign marks a continuation of Hilton’s efforts to localise its messaging while promoting its brand values to a growing base of Indian travellers.
The campaign, which centres on the importance of thoughtful service and intuitive hospitality, presents moments from a guest’s stay – ranging from quiet time before a busy day to simple comforts like a perfectly timed coffee. Hilton says these small, everyday details are designed to empower guests and help them get the most out of their travels.
“At Hilton, we’re ‘For The Stay’ – an experience you only get at Hilton and our 24 brands around the world. The Stay empowers our guests to rest, recharge and prepare for whatever the rest of their trip has in store for them,” said Mark Weinstein, chief marketing officer at Hilton.
The ad features Padukone, who has been a brand ambassador for Hilton, in her home city of Bengaluru. Speaking about the collaboration, she said: “It’s always the little things: the warm welcome, the personal touches, the attention to detail – that turn a Hilton stay into a memory.”
Weinstein noted that the campaign reflects the changing profile of Indian travellers. “We designed this campaign around the spirit of a new generation of Indian travellers. They are shaping success on their own terms and we’re here to host them in India and around the world,” he said. “Deepika brings her own, authentic Stay story to life in a way that’s both powerful and deeply human, and her journey reflects the kind of drive we see in our guests every day.”
Hilton also used the campaign launch to underline its expansion strategy in India. The company plans to grow its footprint in the country tenfold over the next decade. This year, it is opening hotels in cities including Bengaluru, Surat, Jabalpur, Hyderabad and Mumbai. Additionally, five new brands will be introduced to cater to what Hilton describes as rising demand for premium travel experiences in India.
