Four Seasons Hotel Amman has announced its official certification by Green Key, a globally recognised eco-label that sets the standard for environmental responsibility and sustainable operations in the hospitality industry. This milestone reinforces the hotel’s enduring commitment to preserving the environment and making a positive impact on the local community.

To achieve this certification, Four Seasons Hotel Amman met rigorous criteria across 13 key areas, including environmental management, staff engagement, waste reduction, water and energy conservation, sustainable food practices and community involvement.

This recognition supports the hotel’s broader efforts under the Four Seasons for Good programme, which focuses on environmental stewardship and community impact. By aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and working in partnership with The Royal Marine Conservation Society of Jordan (JREDS), the national operator of the Green Key programme, the hotel is committed to leading with purpose and protecting the natural beauty of Amman.

A globally recognised standard in hospitality sustainability

Green Key is an international eco-label awarded to over 7,000 establishments in more than 70 countries. It sets a global benchmark for environmental responsibility and sustainable operations in tourism and hospitality. The certification process is based on compliance with strict criteria across 13 areas, including energy and water conservation, waste management, staff training and community engagement.

In Jordan, the Royal Marine Conservation Society of Jordan (JREDS) has managed the program since 2009, ensuring local establishments meet these high standards. Green Key also aligns closely with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), supporting a broader international effort toward sustainability in the sector.
