Hotel management firm Aimbridge Hospitality EMEA has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Kym Kapadia as senior VP commercial.

Kapadia joins Aimbridge with more than 25 years of experience in commercial strategy across major hospitality brands and operator types, including owner-managed properties, asset management and third-party operations. Her appointment comes as the company continues its international growth, having added nine new properties and over 1,000 guestrooms to its portfolio in the first quarter of the year.

Prior to joining Aimbridge, Kapadia served as chief commercial officer at Aprirose Real Estate, where she was responsible for the performance and asset value of the company’s hotel portfolio. Before that, she spent a decade at Michels & Taylor as VP commercial. As a founding board member, she helped establish the company’s commercial operations and built a strong reputation for owner relations and strategic leadership.

Her earlier career includes senior revenue management roles at leading hotel brands such as Hilton, Whitbread, IHG and Marriott.

Speaking on her new role, Kapadia said: “I am thrilled to be joining Aimbridge EMEA at such a pivotal time in its growth journey. With the business expanding internationally and focusing on innovative commercial strategies, I look forward to bringing my experience to bear in supporting the team and our partners in driving performance and delivering world-class guest experiences.”

David Anderson, president of Aimbridge EMEA, welcomed the appointment, saying: “We’re delighted to have Kym on board. Her extensive experience across the sector, combined with a results-driven and people-focused leadership style, makes her a valuable addition to our team. Kym has a strong reputation across the industry, and we’re excited to see the impact she’ll have as we continue to build on our recent momentum.”

Kapadia’s appointment is seen as a strategic move to bolster Aimbridge EMEA’s commercial capabilities as the company looks to further expand its footprint across international markets.
