Message from EHMA President Ezio A. Indiani

2 April 2020

Dear Friends and Colleagues,
I hope you are well despite the complex and very difficult moment we are all experiencing.

In the space of just a few weeks, our daily lives have changed drastically due to the coronavirus emergency. None of us would have imagined what was going to happen. For this reason, as you know we had to postpone our annual General Meeting in Lugano to next year from 19 to 21 March 2021. The coronavirus epidemic did not really leave us any chance.

We live an unprecedented situation of which all of us are deeply concerned and we are monitoring the unpredictable developments of this emergency. Most of our hotels have closed which is quite a challenge for all of us but of course we need to stay closer to our dear and to our employees and do whatever it takes to stay well and safe. It is not easy to live with the restrictive measures adopted in all those countries which have been mostly affected by the virus, but the only aim is to get us through this crisis together as best as we can.

Our thoughts are with all healthcare professionals and their patients who are working all out to combat coronavirus, and with everyone who is under intense pressure at present. I am humbled by the many acts of bravery, kindness and support I have witnessed in each part of the world during this troubling time!

The crises will finish and we will be as strong as ever to regain all we have lost in these few months of craziness.

Nevertheless, we are privileged to be part of the EHMA family! Let’s stay in touch via email until we will be able to shake hands again and to hug each other next March in Lugano. I am sure that next year annual meeting will be great and will capture all the positive energy that only EHMA General Managers can express individually and collectively.

Thanking you for your support in this difficult moment. VIVA EHMA! Take care and stay safe! Ezio A. Indiani
