Coolike-Regnery makes towels for a variety of industries. What specifically guides the development of your guest amenities range?
Biggi Weisser: Coolike refreshing towels started with guest amenities in mind. In the early 1980s, on a trip from Hong Kong to Manila, our company founder was impressed by the high-quality and exclusive service in the region. He particularly liked the hot Oshibori towels given to him on his flight. Thus, the idea to manufacture guest amenity towels made of cotton in hygienic single sachets was born. A few years later, Coolike towels became part of Lufthansa's on-board service, and famous in the tourism world. Our approach is to manufacture valuable service items that impress guests. Our inspiration for product development is traditions, global trends and lifestyles.
Why is it important that hotels use the right type of towels for their guests?
Choosing the right amenity product has to do with the particular hotel's focus. Luxury hotels hosting upper-class guests add luxury to every detail. For this, we have developed our Oshibori Wellness Towel. Hotels with a conference focus may choose our Re-Vitalizer with invigorating etheric oils. Or, for a special goodnight service, hotels may favour our Sleep Well towel. The idea behind all of our products is the same: to provide an outstanding and memorable guest experience.
Coolike has been in the towel game for more than 35 years. What principles have helped contribute to the company's longevity?
Quality, innovation, reliability and customer satisfaction. The company's initial idea to pack wet towels into individually printable sachets to fit in every pocket has been pioneering. During times when infectious diseases spread transnationally and the importance of clean hands was publicised by health authorities, we noted an increased demand for our practical towels.
The range of Coolike products is well considered, with centralised production in Bensheim, Germany, about 50km south of Frankfurt Airport. All production steps are under one roof, starting from product development and packaging design to print, manufacturing, warehousing and delivery.

How can your towels be personalised for customers?
Personalised packaging is a growing trend and a powerful marketing tool. Communicating the corporate brand is essential. Coolike towels hit the bullseye as packaging can be printed individually. Corporate logos, advertisements for special offers or a short message can be printed on the sachet. Our modern flexoprint machines provide brilliant HD print results in up to eight colours.
Oshibori, or hot towels, have grown in global popularity. What makes Coolike's range of Oshibori a quality choice for guest service?
Coolike Oshibori Wellness is a fine cotton terry towel for soothing the senses, hygienically packed in a luxury reusable sachet with zip-fastener. It is suitable for warm and cold application. This health and care range focuses on particular areas of application. Anti-stress and Re-Vitalizer towels, for example, contain aromatic medicinal plant extracts to mobilise and stimulate the senses of our bodies. For many people, finding sleep in unfamiliar surroundings is not always easy. Placed next to the pillow, our Sleep Well towel with the calming essence of Swiss stone pine can help ensure a good night's rest.
