Backgrounds can be created with virtually any design, including hotel brand colour schemes. Hotels can also incorporate the property logo on each panel, in order to add a more personalised touch.

While much of the innovation behind door lock concepts has revolved around providing hoteliers with more choice in terms of style, the core focus has always remained on ensuring properties are safe. Behind the visually appealing casings and handles, providers have been mindful to include the latest hardware and software upgrades, such as RFID technology, so that each platform is as secure as it is attractive.

By implementing RFID, door locks offer a vital layer of encryption that is invulnerable to keycard cloning. When installed along with an online security access network, RFID door locks can also provide hoteliers with a way of remotely monitoring keycard use in real time. Should an employee suspect a specific keycard of being used inappropriately, it can be instantly deactivated, minimising any threat to security.

While once seemingly separate and incompatible, security and design can now go hand in hand. As a result, hoteliers can look forward to reinforcing their property environment's unique style, while maintaining a commitment to ensuring guest security and peace of mind.
