Hyatt Hotels Corporation has expanded its presence in the Caribbean with the opening of the Royal Beach Hotel Punta Cana, marking the regional debut of its JdV by Hyatt brand. The move is part of the company’s continued push into lifestyle and boutique hospitality segments in key leisure destinations.

Developed in partnership with Grupo Martinon, the 66-room hotel is located in Punta Cana’s El Cortecito neighborhood, a popular area near Los Corales Beach and roughly 25 minutes from Punta Cana International Airport. The property caters to both vacationers and business travellers, with modern guestroom amenities and access to nearby all-inclusive Hyatt resorts through optional day passes.

Royal Beach Hotel Punta Cana joins over 20 Hyatt-branded properties in the Dominican Republic, underscoring the company’s strategy to grow its footprint in high-demand resort markets. Unlike Hyatt’s traditional all-inclusive offerings in the area, this hotel emphasizes a more localised, flexible stay experience.

The property includes two small boardrooms for meetings or business retreats, a fitness centre, and dining options designed to appeal to both international travellers and local visitors. The main restaurant, Ambar Fusion Cuisine, highlights regional ingredients, while two bars provide casual spaces for drinks and small plates.

“It’s a pleasure to be part of this milestone project and debut the JdV by Hyatt brand in the Caribbean,” said Juan Alejandro Sánchez, general manager, Royal Beach Hotel Punta Cana. “Following an extensive renovation, we look forward to welcoming business and leisure travellers to connect and live in the moment with endless opportunities to explore the local vibe – white sand and clear beaches included.”
