Valamar has officially opened the Arba Resort, Valamar Collection, on Rab Island as part of its ongoing expansion in the premium leisure market. The newly launched all-inclusive resort opened on at the end of May and is aimed primarily at international markets, including the UK, with a focus on high-end travel experiences, wellness and family-friendly services.

Located on the Capo Fronte peninsula, around 5km from the historic centre of Rab, the new resort offers 208 accommodation units, including new family suites and a dedicated Family Residence. Designed for couples and families, the resort looks to blend modern comfort with Adriatic surroundings, strengthening Valamar’s position in Croatia’s competitive upscale tourism segment.

One of the core features of the property is the 800m2 Balance Mediterranean Spa, which draws on local wellness traditions such as honey and salt therapies, combined with modern spa treatments and curated relaxation areas. A tea-tasting corner and multiple sauna zones are included as part of a holistic wellness programme.

Dining at the resort is centred around the Arba772 restaurant, which highlights Mediterranean cuisine made with 80% locally sourced ingredients. It offers extended dining hours, options for vegan and vegetarian diets, and child-friendly menus. Guests booking the resort’s V Level service tier will have access to an exclusive dining area featuring enhanced menus and wine lists.

Other leisure amenities include several indoor and outdoor pools – some designed specifically for children and infants – and a V Level-exclusive pool with bar service. The Maro World family zone spans 1,500m2 and includes supervised childcare, interactive play areas, and a wide range of organised activities from creative workshops to bike tours.

According to Valamar, the Arba Resort is expected to become one of the island’s leading premium destinations. The development reflects the group’s broader strategy of investing in high-value tourism infrastructure and diversifying its offering across different segments.
