10th November 2020 - Le Sereno, the intimate, award-winning beachfront property designed by the late Christian Liaigre, located on the pristine Grand Cul de Sac in St. Barths, reopens its doors on 17th December to welcome guests. Following a complete property rebuild in 2019, including a luxurious spa with treatments from acclaimed Swiss skincare brand Valmont, new family suites, reimagined and renovated restaurant offering panoramic ocean views and extended beach area, Plage, designed by Patricia Urquiola.

“Following damage from the passing of Hurricane Irma my family decided to demolish and to completely rebuild from scratch a significant part of the property, including more than half the rooms and all the public spaces, while maintaining the iconic style of Le Sereno which has a devoted following amongst guests. In the true spirit of ‘plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose’, we worked on a complete rebuild, while keeping the essence of the hotel intact” said Luis Contreras, Founder of Sereno Hotels “the craziness of this year meant our guests weren’t able to experience to the fullest this brand new hotel and we are looking forward to our grand reopening.”
Suite Piscines
Le Sereno’s Suite Piscines, new for the 2020 season,have the option to connect rooms and feature two large, heated pools. When adjoined, the new suites offer a private villa experience for groups, that overlooks the lagoon.

Ristorante Al Mare
Chef Lenzi’s new menu at Ristorante Al Mare redefines the Caribbean dining experience, focusing on fresh, local ingredients expertly crafted into simple, delicious, contemporary Italian cuisine best enjoyed beachside, while retaining some of the beloved guest favorites. The new menu highlights include the Spaghetti with Fresh Cucumber Ceviche, Aragosta con Caponatina di Verdura (lobster with a vegetable caponata), Spaghetti Ai Cinque Pomodori (spaghetti with sauce made from five tomato varieties) and Caciucco alla Livornese (traditional Italian fish soup served with toasted bread). The restaurant’s popular Aperitivo Hour will also return, where guests can enjoy Mediterranean bites, wines and expertly crafted cocktails to the tunes of live acoustic guitar as the sun sets.
Outdoors & Wellbeing
Guests are spoilt for choice with a large array of outdoor activities on their doorstep at Le Sereno. A short wander down to the beach and they can pick up paddleboards, kayaks and snorkels to spend their mornings or afternoons playing with the gentle sea turtles that populate the protected marine reserve. Further out in the same bay guests can enjoy high octane water sports such as kite surfing, wind surfing, jet skiing and waterskiing, plus many more activities. Launch of Larusmiani X Le Sereno Picnic Collaboration
Continuing on from a successful launch this season on the shores of Lake Como, Sereno Hotels will once again team up with Larusmiani to offer, what must be the finest picnic experience, to their guests. The luxurious picnic hamper will be served on a remote beach selected by the Le Sereno team and served by private butler. This specially customised hamper from the Milanese fashion house is filled with chilled champagne, served in crystal glasses, and on painted porcelain. The menu designed by Executive Chef Raffale Lenzi, includes a selection of cold Mediterranean-style dishes, from Apulian burrata with marinated eggplants to a brown rice salad with crunchy vegetables. The lobster or cold guitar spaghetti with tomato and basil is highly recommended. Each of these dishes is accompanied by Bollinger Special Cuvée champagne or Rosé Love Léoube of Chateau Léoube, plus natural/ sparkling water. Best enjoyed at sunset!
