A Collection of COVID-19 Resources Centering on Hospitality

HFTP continues to monitor the news surrounding COVID-19 and its impact on the hospitality industry. The health and safety of our members and stakeholders remains a top priority. Therefore, HFTP has compiled a list of outside resources designed to inform the hospitality industry. They come from HFTP’s allied industry partners including Cornell University, the American Hotel & Lodging Association, the National Club Association and more. Check out these resources detailed below.

COVID19-Related Webinars

Launched by Hospitality Net, check out this calendar dedicated to webinars relating to COVID-19. These webinars address a range of topics designed to help you navigate the coronavirus crisis and its impact on the hospitality industry including: how to mitigate the effects on your hotel’s revenue, how to manage cancellations, travel, guest communication, future planning, cybersecurity and more.

Hotel Resources on COVID-19

The American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA) has created a central source for the most updated facts and resources relating to the hotel industry.

AHLA also offers a COVID-19 webinar series for hotels. Topics include: a government affairs update on the CARES Act, staffing and employee relations, navigating insurance and claims, and an overview of the Small Business Administration (SBA)’s Economic Injury Disaster Loan Program. They also link to past webinar recordings in their Webinar Archive, so you can revisit any sessions you may have missed.


Club Resources on COVID-19

The National Club Association (NCA) has also created a resource center dedicated to COVID-19 and its impact on clubs. This is a wide-ranging website for club leaders, staff and members to address the coronavirus crisis at their own clubs.

You can also sign up for the NCA Coronavirus Update newsletter, designed to keep clubs up-to-date on the latest news and resources.


Hospitality Finance Resources on COVID-19

The Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI) has resources to help hotel and travel industry professionals stay informed about the impact of the coronavirus outbreak on sales, marketing and revenue optimization.


Labor and Employment Resource on COVID-19

The U.S. Department of Labor Wage and Hour Division has posted a new document, “COVID-19 and the Fair Labor Standards Act Questions and Answers.” Visit this page to find answers to questions pertaining to the Fair Labor Standards Act, employment, wages and more.


Small Business Resource on COVID-19

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) provides information on low-interest disaster loans to help businesses and homeowners recover from declared disasters. Visit the SBA website for more information on their three-step process to apply for assistance and get help after declared disasters like the COVID-19 pandemic.
